gtmcknight: Note to self: stop using filters, if it isn’t good enough without, drop it on the floor. Yes. I’m not going to whine about Instagram filters destroying photography (because they aren’t), but they are becoming a crutch. Giving people a simple way to explore texture, color, and shape is wonderful, but passing every single photo through a filter to make it “artistic” is like the late-90s habit of applying a bevel and drop shadow to every logo to make it “3D”. It was amateurish then, and it is again now.
