Yes. I’m not going to whine about Instagram filters destroying photography (because they aren’t), but they are becoming a crutch.
Giving people a simple way to explore texture, color, and shape is wonderful, but passing every single photo through a filter to make it “artistic” is like the late-90s habit of applying a bevel and drop shadow to every logo to make it “3D”. It was amateurish then, and it is again now.
