If more advertising followed this pattern, I might not mind advertising.
Yes, it’s biased by definition. Yes, I still have to verify the claims made in the ad. Still: it’s making claims that can be falsified! It addresses reliability, durability, and operating cost, all actual concerns when evaluating product choices.
In other words, it assumes I’m a rational actor to be informed, not a set of knee-jerk responses to be triggered. I’d be OK with advertising like this.
